On May 21, 2019, Antergos announced its discontinuation. Lack of free time cited as the main reason behind this decision. Today, we are announcing the end of this project. As many of you probably noticed over the past several months, we no longer have enough free time to properly maintain Antergos.

Is Arch Linux the best?
The installation process is long and probably too technical for a non-Linux savvy user, but with enough time on your hands and the ability to maximize productivity using wiki guides and the like, you should be good to go. Arch Linux is a great Linux distro – not in spite of its complexity, but because of it.
Should I use arch or manjaro?
Manjaro is definitely a beast, but a very different kind of beast than Arch. Fast, powerful, and always up to date, Manjaro provides all the benefits of an Arch operating system, but with an especial emphasis on stability, user-friendliness and accessibility for newcomers and experienced users.

Absolutely not. Arch is not, and has never been about choice, it's about minimalism and simplicity. Arch is minimal, as in by default it doesn't have a lot of stuff, but it's not designed for choice, you can just uninstall stuff on a non minimal distro and get the same effect.
Is Arch Linux hard to maintain?
Arch takes more effort but IMO it's well worth it. I installed it after like 2 months of using ubuntu. It's not really hard to install and maintain.

Arch isn't particularly speedy, they still build gigantic binaries like everyone else. There's got to be some difference in the software stack you're installing. ... But if Arch is faster than other distros (not at your difference level), it's because it's less "bloated" (as in you only have what you need/want).
